THE JEWEL AND THE JEWELLER is a New Plymouth-based, public facing contemporary jewellery workshop which sells stunning works crafted by 26 of the most exciting makers in Aotearoa.

Founded by practising jewellers Jennifer Laracy and Sam Kelly THE JEWEL AND THE JEWELLER, also hosts an array of evolving exhibitions, community projects, artists talks and jewellery making workshops.

Services include:

  • A range of jewellery making workshops, for all levels of expertise. Night classes, weekend classes and one-day workshops.

  • Make your own wedding ring couple workshops.

  • Corporate/social workshops.

  • Remodel/remakes of old jewellery.

  • Wedding ring and engagement ring commission services.

 

Our range of classes will allow you to explore contemporary jewellery design and practices in a relaxed, inviting space. Whether you’re completely new to jewellery-making or have some experience, you’ll be free to delve into the design process through our wealth of tools, techniques and materials.

Our goal is to help you feel inspired, have fun and take home a piece of jewellery that’s deeply personal and original.
