We're in need of a Software Engineer - Android Developer to join our team.

Role Purpose

The main role of the Mobile Application Developer is to provide practical technical implementation of applications and their supporting frameworks to improve and develop the Bank's mobile banking services.

In this position, you'll collaborate closely with our esteemed application services team, ensuring our in-house developed systems and applications are continuously upgraded, remain supportable, scalable, and secure, and offer users an optimal user experience.

You'll also be tasked with contributing to the operational oversight and monitoring of systems under your team's purview, ensuring issues are resolved promptly, and services operate within their established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Role specific areas of responsibility

Develop and prepare mobile applications and integration services, configurations, and code changes for deployment through testing and production systems and app stores.
Contribute to the planning and design of solutions, the definition of requirements, specifications, estimations, prototypes, and the planning of dependencies, with a focus on delivering business value.
Provide to the definition and refinement of user stories and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery and regression testing.
Ensure the security, performance, and integrity of data standards across the team's services and integration points, staying abreast of current security issues, guidelines, and addressing any security concerns.
Contribute to quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities to ensure the solution requirements are met.
Add your experience to the training and education of colleagues, business units, and stakeholders on both new and existing functionalities.
Provide proactive management of business and service support across the team's services, including incident response in accordance with defined policies and processes.
Lead knowledge-sharing activities with staff, and proactively review and implement process and operational improvement initiatives across the team's services.
