Social Kitchen is situated in the stylish character building that was formerly the Salvation Army Citadel, located in the humming West End Precinct. Social Kitchen is an award winning Taranaki restaurant that has been operating for almost eight years. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to come on board and work along side our two owner operators. At Social Kitchen we have a dynamic professional team who are committed to service excellence.

The Restaurant Manager will oversee the effective and smooth running of the restaurant and front-of-house team, having the happiness of guests constantly top of mind. They will oversee the sale of liquor, allocate tasks, and assist with training and development of the front-of-house staff to perform their roles to a high level. As Restaurant Manager you will lead by example, follow and implement procedures and policies, and ensure the order of service and non-negotiables are always upheld.

The Person
The ideal candidate will have:

A cheerful, happy and confident disposition that makes our guests feel welcome and comfortable and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry. You will be the welcoming face of Social Kitchen.
Must be available to work weekends (this is hospo after all) !
Minimum of 3 years hospitality experience with a current Duty Managers License
The ability to handle pressure, think on your feet and maintain attention to detail in a very busy environment.
Excellent personal presentation and personal hygiene.
Exceptional verbal communication and an unwavering commitment to customer service.
Preferable at least 2+ years of proven management experience.
Experience with analyzing financial reports.
Knowledge to adhere to liquor licensing requirements.
The ability to comfortably communicate to all levels of the business
