Abseil Access Limited, (Trading as Vertech New Zealand) is a dynamic and expanding rope access, inspection and NDT company based in Taranaki, inviting expressions of interest from qualified individuals for a role as a casual NDT inspector. As a recognized leader in the industry, we operate nationwide, providing high-quality services in videoscope inspections utilizing cutting-edge equipment and leveraging the expertise of technicians with a longstanding presence in the field.
About Vertech NZ:
Vertech NZ specializes in remote visual inspection (RVI) services, supporting various industries such as Oil and Gas, dairy, civil infrastructure, and others. Our unique capabilities include combining RVI with abseiling techniques, allowing us to access even the most challenging locations. We are currently looking to expand our service offerings into NDT. We presently provide advanced NDT services through our group company Sonomatic, using Australian techniocians, but for some smaller NZ jobs, it would be great to have a local technician who is keen to help with these
Available Positions:
Casual NDT inspector. This part time role would suit someone who is flexible, likes to travel, and potentially has a second source of income, as it is often all or nothing when jobs are taking place. The nature of the work may vary, with assignments ranging from occasional to continuous on-site presence. Due to the intermittent nature of the work, our pay rates exceed industry standards. This has the potential to become a permanent role for the right person.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Background in inspection, mechanical trades, or mechanical engineering
• Strong preference for candidates with IRATA (L1, L2, L3) certification
• Familiarity with NDT, and qualifications in MT, PT, UT, EC, PAUT (AINDT and CBIP preferred, PCN accepted)
• BOSIET/FOET Offshore training and API 653, 510, 570, or AICIP qualifications are desirable
• Keen, hardworking, trustworthy, and friendly demeanor
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests
