About the role
We are looking for an experienced Line Leader Packing or Cook to join our team at Van Dyck Fine Foods Ltd. based in New Plymouth Central Taranaki. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in leading and supervising our production team. Your strategic leadership and strong operational skills will be essential in driving efficiency and quality within our fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you'll be doing
Lead and supervise a team of production workers to ensure the efficient and safe running of your allocated production line
Monitor and maintain product quality and process standards
Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
Train, develop and motivate your team to deliver high-quality results
Liaise with other departments to coordinate production schedules and activities
Assist in the preparation, cooking and packing of food products as required
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
Significant experience in a manufacturing or food production environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong technical skills and understanding of production processes and quality control
Excellent communication and people management skills to lead and motivate a team
Problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement
Familiarity with health and food safety regulations in a manufacturing setting
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
