Te āheinga - The opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our planning team as an Intermediate Planner. In this role, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of planning policies and regulations, providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders, and contributing to the strategic planning objectives of NPDC.

Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities

Processing RMA and related applications
Providing RMA expertise
Applicable financial management
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation

Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako - Essential skills and experience

A tertiary qualification related to resource management or land use planning
Practical experience and competency in Resource Management legislative processes
A general knowledge of other Local Government legislation and consent processes
Awareness of the Local Government political environment.
Computer literacy
Driver's licence
District Plan administration work within a Local Government environment
Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Understand and interpret plans
