Te āheinga - The opportunity

As an Insurance and Innovation Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing NPDC's insurance matters and supporting transformation/change initiatives across the region. Working with stakeholders both internal and external to the organization, you will analyse risk, identify market trends, and develop innovative strategies that align with NPDC's goals. This fixed term position requires a blend of analytical acumen, creative thinking, and an ability to draw out key information to inform robust decision making.

Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities

This role is intended to be a 50:50 split management and enhancement of NPDC's approach to our insurance portfolio, and supporting the innovation work programme that is currently focused on regional shared service opportunities.

- Insurance Framework oversight and work programme management - working with the business to review and update the organisation's Insurance Framework to ensure it meets the needs of NPDC now and into the future. Management and oversight of the Insurance work programme to ensure renewal activities are well planned and executed and ad hoc quieries from the business are addressed
- Innovation/Transformation Initiative Analysis - Development of robust briefs, business cases, implementation plans and the like with robust analysis including but not limited to financial, risk, change etc.
- Implementation Analysis and Planning - Working with a range of stakeholders to understand the impacts of change on their business, including business processes, system requirements and other change elements as required
- Strategic Facilitation - Plan and manage strategic workshops, hui, meetings to achieve the desired outcome and garner as much information as possible to inform innovation/transformation initaitives
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration - Strong relationship management, working with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple organisations and supporting the Manager to understand external activities and interdependencies
- Other support for the Manager and Integrity and Innovation Group as required

Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako - Essential skills and experience:

- Previous experience providing analytical support in a change environment (essential)
- Previous experience with business process mapping and mapping system requirements (essential)
- Previous experience with insurance matters and risk based analysis (desirable).
- Previous experience in facilitation and working with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes (desirable)
- Project/Programme management experience - May have PRINCE2, MSP or other relevant certification or study towards relevant certification (desirable)

You can expect to start in this 12-month, fixed-term role with us between $100,329 and $108,131.
