Join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering exceptional events across New Plymouth's premier venues! Our facilities include the TSB Showplace, Bowl of Brooklands, and TSB Stadium, where we host a diverse range of events from concerts and performances to sports and community gatherings. We pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for our patrons and clients.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee operations at our venues. This casual role involves managing front of house activities before, during, and after events, ensuring that all events meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Casual hours are flexible and driven by event requirements. Predominantly work is the evenings, and weekends, with some availability of shifts during the day.

Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities:

- Be the venue representative during events ensuring all aspects of the event plan are delivered to contractual requirements
- Monitor the presentation, security, safety, and functionality of the venue during an event, ensuring it is presented to the highest standard, while also supervising staff and service providers
- Prior to an event, carry out a venue inspection, refer to the event run sheet and identify any issues that may arise, ensuring all information has been captured
- Supervise the Front of House team, ensuring all members have a clear understanding of their duties and are given a full overview of the event run details
- Deal with seating and ticketing issues if they arise at an event including relocation of patrons if required, liaising with Ticketek Co-Ordinator
- Being the key liaison between the client and service provider, communicating with the Technical Manager, Ticketing and Catering team to ensure event starts on time and runs to correct schedule
- Responsible for ensuring the venue evacuation and emergency procedures are followed in the event of an evacuation or emergency situation
- Reconcile merchandise commissions with the promotor or merchandiser after the event
- Ensure a completed event report is produced at the end of shift with all briefing details completed
- Assist the venue to achieve targets by leading while on duty, NPDC Zero waste initiative

- Leadership skills
- Critical thinking
- Knowledge in operations of venues
- Physical ability to meet demands of the job
- Excellent decision making and communication skills
- Experience in Health and Safety in venues would be an advantage
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Full driver's licence preferable
