Ara Ake is Aotearoa New Zealand’s future energy centre. We are a purpose-driven organisation established to support the demonstration and commercialisation of new energy innovation to support a transition to a low emissions future.
We require an experienced Energy Innovation Manager to join our dynamic and passionate team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable to manage varied and high-value energy projects and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Based in New Plymouth, Taranaki, this role requires someone who can hit the ground running and support the projects and strategic initiatives of Ara Ake.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, lead, and contribute to initiatives that support energy innovation
Support the GM Projects Delivery to manage the diverse energy portfolio
Ensure project information is captured accurately in our systems
Provide business development support, strategic insights and reporting on portfolio performance
Seek and lead energy innovation pilots and challenges
Collaborate with the internal team, external innovators, and strategic partners to deliver innovative energy solutions
Establish effective relationships with industry, government, and community stakeholders
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the energy / renewable energy sector
Strong business acumen and business development skills
Proven project management experience
Ability to build rapport, trust, and strong partnerships
Excellent analytical, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
A flexible and professional approach to changing demands and ability to manage multiple priorities
