Deputy Principals’ Personal Assistant

Full time, fixed term (one-year parental leave cover), 44 weeks per year

New Plymouth Girls’ High School has a one-year opportunity for a highly efficient Personal Assistant (PA) to provide administrative and organisational support to a team of Deputy Principals.

The PA will provide support to the Deputy Principals by providing high-level administrative assistance, managing key events, and co-ordinating day to day school processes. This is a varied role that includes:

Organising and assisting with assemblies, school events, and prizegiving ceremonies.
Managing calendar bookings and updating the school calendar.
Producing certificates for students, including awards and graduation documents.
Handling student reporting through KAMAR (student database) and managing data exports.
Providing general administrative support, including data entry and document formatting.
Administering the elections for student and staff representatives to the School Board.
Key skills and experience

High proficiency in Microsoft Office and, ideally, experience with school software systems (preferably KAMAR, but not essential).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.
Logical thinker who can follow structured processes.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
