Casual Teacher Aide Positions
New Plymouth Girls’ High School is seeking individuals to cover Teacher Aide roles on a casual, as-needed basis. This role involves supporting students with high and complex needs in a modern, well-equipped unit.
Ideal applicants will:
Have experience working with individuals with multiple, complex disabilities or a background in healthcare or aged care.
Have experience managing complex behaviour; an understanding of autism would be an advantage.
Have the skills already or be willing to be trained to undertake full personal care of students, including hoisting.
Demonstrate empathy, patience and an interest in students’ development and holistic wellbeing.
Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team as well as independently.
Be adaptable and demonstrate flexibility.
