Sushi Ninja is a family run business that has been serving up family favourites to locals and visitors since 2007. We aim to create a family-like atmosphere in which both staff & customers can feel at home. We are proud to be serving authentic, innovative & fresh Japanese flavours.

Owner/Head Chef, Ken hails from Yamagata Japan and specialises in sushi, sashimi & tempura kitchen where he creates his magic. He has created many Sushi Ninja original sushi to satisfy even the most reluctant diner for over 30 years. He is passionate to explore and create new things, as well as, keeping the traditional aspect of Japanese cuisine.  

Owner/Manager, Sophie also has 30 years plus in hospitality. She loves to interact with customers & to feel they are part of the extended family. Her front of house team are also very much part of the Ninja family! She is half Japanese and half Kiwi, bilingual and bi-cultural, having been brought up in Tokyo where her mother was born, & moving to NZ after graduating from high school.

 

Lunches (Friday- Sunday)

  • Dine In lunches include many favourites such as bentos, ramen and donburiSushi Train also runs during the lunch service. 
  • Both these services will increase the open days during the school holidays and will run Tuesdays- Sundays.

Dinners 

  • Monday - Sunday from 5pm
  • The Izakaya or Sake Bar style dining is all about enjoying the variety with sharing style dishes. Why not come in with friends and family and try different flavours.
