So, what makes a Repose cabin different from other getaways? Repose cabins are fully off-grid utilising solar power and a composting toilet, as well as being designed to be low-impact to the site they are on. Additionally, the cabins were designed to be a ‘luxury’ version of a back-country hut, with no wifi and limited service, guests can completely disconnect – a rarity in a hyper-connected world. The cabin includes an indoor fireplace, hot shower, books, board games and an outdoor bath.

Perched on the hill 20 minutes from New Plymouth is Repose’s first cabin, the Lepperton Farm Stay is a Nordic inspired cabin. This location is all about the views, from the wrap-around deck you look out over a working farm towards the ocean in the north.
