Puketarata Garden - A Garden of National Significance located in South Taranaki. A large country garden. We are open during the Taranaki Garden Festival & at other times by arrangement. Check out the website www.puketaratagarden.co.nz
This country garden is set sensitively within its wider environment, includes the adjacent 400 year old Puketarata Pa. Making the most of its mountain and landscape views, skilled blending of native plants with exotic varieties is a particular strength. Generous herbaceous plantings provide flowers, colour and scent. Carefully managed diversity of planting and design give this garden its individual character. There are walking tracks being developed in the gully below the garden. Bus groups can be picked up from the road by appointment.
