Established in the 1920s by renowned plantsman Bernie Hollard, this remarkable garden is home to a nationally significant collection of rhododendrons, rare species, and seasonal delights, offering stunning contrasts year-round.

Wander through intimate garden spaces, hidden pathways, expansive lawns, and tranquil swamp gardens, or simply relax and soak in the natural beauty. Families will love the children’s play area, barbecues, worm farm, and open green spaces. 

The elegant Hollard Centre—with its contemporary design and panoramic garden views—provides a unique venue for functions and events.

Hollard Gardens is the achievement of a lifetime's work by the late Bernie and Rose Hollard. Today, it is owned and managed by the Taranaki Regional Council for the enjoyment of all.
