Our venues, including the iconic TSB Showplace, Bowl of Brooklands, and TSB Stadium, are the heartbeat of our community, hosting a diverse range of events that bring people together.

As a Venue Operations Assistant, you will be an essential part of the Venues and Events Team, working closely with our Coordinators to ensure the seamless delivery of events across all NPDC venues. Your role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of our events, contributing to the cultural, sporting, and recreational life of New Plymouth.

Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities:

- Assist with the operation of venues and equipment to ensure a safe and secure environment and to meet customer expectations and contractual requirements
- Participate in front of house responsibilities and provide technical assistance for backstage shows
- Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
- Physical and active role that requires event set up of equipment and furniture
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team

Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako - Essential skills and experience:

- Experience in venue operations would be an advantage
- Driver's licence
- Ability to work varied hours and times. Late night and early morning shifts
- EWP licence and experience would be an advantage

You can expect to start in this permanent, 30hr week role with us between $26 and $27 per hour.
