We are currently looking for a empathetic and passionatesupport worker to work within our Community Services in New Plymouth. We have a variety of permanent part-time and casual options on offer.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support.

Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

Meal preparation
Community outings and integration
Giving medication
Personal cares (showering, toileting bowel cares etc.)
Home management.

What are we looking for?

Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do!
Experience in bowel and stoma cares is preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Availability to work weekend shifts.
Most positions require a full NZ drivers' license and your own reliable transport.
