We’re looking for an experienced Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions to join a growing agritech start-up revolutionising the agri industry.
About the Role
As a Senior or Intermediate Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development, testing, and implementation of advanced agritech systems. This is a multifaceted role that will span research and development, project management, and hands-on system builds, ensuring our clients solutions are at the forefront of agricultural technology. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects that have a tangible impact on the future of farming.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role:
Lead prototyping, testing, and design of innovative systems, including nanobubble technology, sonification, electrolysis, and mechanical systems.
Conduct trials and data collection to build case studies and improve system performance.
Oversee the physical assembly and testing of systems in-house before deployment.
Manage procurement, including sourcing parts and obtaining quotes.
Coordinate with external stakeholders (e.g., steelwork fabricators, electrical contractors) to ensure seamless project execution.
Engage with on-site teams, irrigation companies, and electrical contractors to facilitate installations.
Support system installations on-site and conduct follow-up visits to ensure optimal performance.
Transition installations to local partners as part of our long-term strategy.
Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency across builds and installations.
Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze data for ongoing trials and case studies.
What We’re Looking For
A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) and 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and system builds.
Knowledge of irrigation systems, agritech, or wastewater technology is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to innovation.
Willingness to travel for installations and site visits.
