About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Chef to work at Taranaki Hospital in New Plymouth for a minimum of 18 hours per week. Potential for more hours to cover leave
You will be responsible for:
cooking, preparing and serving quality meals for the patients according to dietitian specifications and ensuring the quality of every dish we serve!
receive and store kitchen supplies
baking scones and muffins
maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen
Ideal skills and experience you will have:
If you're our ideal candidate you will be hard working, have a high standard of presentation, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will already have at least 2 years' experience working in a commercial kitchen and be familiar with bulk food cooking. Ideally, you will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168). You will need to have the ability to work independently and confidently, but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
